#Arma 3 get tactical update#
Horrible server browser, of the 8000 or 9000 servers it takes forever to update the list, search / filter functions are limited and dated. Should I ever play with UO again I would definitely volunteer as a squad leader, a role that I staunchly avoided taking 2 years ago.īasically imho it's a hassle to find such a server as a player who has just finished playing through SP and on the lookout for a tactical MP experience. Joining my current unit has been a rewarding experience and gave me the skills and experience to lead elements into battle. The reason why I left UO was that even though I'd spent a year with them, I didn't feel like I really grew as a milsim player. This often led to tensions between experienced non-regular members and regular members. While all players had some power to choose their mission, the core group or regular members still held supreme authority in more important matters, such as the day-to-day administration of the community. The semi-democratic nature of UO led to much unnecessary drama and bickering. Other times there were less experienced and more casual players who led the factions, taking their men to certain doom. The one redeeming quality it had were a core group of extremely experienced and talented players who commanded factions to the best of their ability, at timea achieving results that could rival Shacktac's. It was not a community for players to learn from their mistakes and apply the lessons that they learned to the situation at hand. The experience in UO varied greatly every mission. It also didn't help that they didn't promote themselves, and most players I've met back then and today have never even heard of them. When I was in UO, training was just barely functioning. It was always the same crowd, but not enough people were willing to put in the administrative work to keep the community functioning. UO ended up like this precisely because of the casual players. We can assure you that no one has gone to Shacktac, as they haven't been accepting any new members for a while.
